    If you're you I'm me, if not then nvm. But I would take a yard engine with a compressions test over a rebuilt on a 225k chassis anyday. A rebuild can be anything between a can of spray paint and a skilled person/company being competent. The latter seems to be more of a rare thing these days. I would find the best bang for the buck pulled engine and toss it in. Chassis already has 225k, spending 2-3x the money on a very low mile engine or full rebuild will not add the value you think it will. If the compression is good, maybe get ahead of maintenance and do the timing chain and put a new t-stat, housing, etc extra parts on while it's easier out of the truck. And since you have it apart might as well ditch the air pumps, evap, egr, etc and just be done with that crap thats gonna break anyways.
