I really hate the factory luggage rack and the parts guy at the dealership seems completely clueless, so has anybody or does anybody know what the part# is for the weatherstrip seal so I can finally remove that damn thing? To me it seems logical that it would be the part of a factory doublecab w/out the luggage rack but the dealership doesnt think so.

post in the buy/sell part of the forum, you should be able to find someone in texas who will swap with you.

I would for sure, just a few thousand miles between us though :(

well i would like to see that it is possible to do an even swap, ive heard that its not just the seals but clips as well, so just wandering if the clips can come out without being damaged? if its been done before which im sure it has id love to see it then id be more than willing to do a swap.

i installed one on my truck, there are little plastic clips that are not really removeable, they are broken off when they are installed, also on the bolt holes are sealed by like a sticker thing that is painted over, i would use clear silicone in these holes to ensure that there will be no water leak, be very very gentle when removeing this if you break one of the nuts off the cab you are in a really tight spot.
