    Hello-

Need help finding the correct OEM Manual Antenna Assembly (Part below the fender with cord to radio). My Tacoma has a manufacture date of 6/1996, but is listed as a 1997 model. I believe the OEM part number is 86300-04020 for the antenna assembly(?). I also believe the matching Antenna Base Ornament (black plastic that sits on fender) is part number 86392-04020, and the chrome castle nut is part number 86396-04010 (or 86396-16020?). The 86300-04020 unit is discontinued apparently. I can find an antenna assembly with part number 86300-04050 readily available for sale. Does any one know if this unit will work on my Tacoma? I’m concerned that the fender profile does not match the profile of the 04050 antenna assembly where it rests against the underside of the fender. Has anyone found an aftermarket unit that works with a 1996/97 Tacoma? Thanks!

All I know is that what metra and crutchfield say works, doesn’t fit at all.

Yeah. Actually spoke to Metra to confirm fit. They agreed their antenna actually does NOT fit.
