Replace valve stem seals?

    Getting a few puffs of smelly white smoke after cold start on a 4.0 truck. Only happens after truck sits for a couple days because it is not my daily driver. Engine was replaced recently.

    Wow! Are you sure the compression tester was tight? I don't know how you didn't get a P303 code with no compression.

    Removing the pistons w/o removing the engine, kind of difficult, you still have to be able to get to the rods and remove them from the crankshaft. That means the oil pan has to come off.
