Hey yall i have a 2001 5 lug that i need to do wheel bearings on. I cant find a straight answer (yes i used the search bar). Do i need to replace the whole hub as one piece? whats involved? i know i need bearings races and probably seals. Any complications doing these or is it pretty straight forward?

You mention hub, so I assume front. They're sealed bearings, so no races, etc. And you can do the bearing only, don't need to replace the hub.
Edit: my info was bad, incorrect for the 5 lug. Mechanicjon got me straightened out below.

5lug 2wd.jpg 5 lug 2wd has tapered roller bearings and races. You'll need a new seal, inner and outer bearings and races. Also a small tub of wheel bearing grease. And a new cotter pin

Do one side at a time so you have a reference point. Use jack stands & chock the rear wheels.
