Bought a use Warn 9500ti for cheap and decided to disassemble it so I can put it in the parts cleaner to get the old crud out and put in fresh grease. Was surprised at how bad the inside of the motor was. Was wondering if it is ok to leave like this or since its all apart should I replace the motor before I cram it behind the bumper. Also are there any options on having the motor cleaned and rebuilt.

Went ahead and ordered a new one. Dont want the motor to be the weak link when I need to get out of a jam.

Use areoshell grease in the planetary gears and lightly oil the outside of the clutch slider. No grease there or the winch won't free spool worth a crap.

Use some silicone around all the bolts and the seams where the winch case actuallys goes together, use dielectric grease and silicone the entire connectors that go to the solenoid box and you can submerge the winch without issues.
