I ran into the same issue as you from trying to fit JBL Club 34F on the dash. It cannot fit perfectly with the default screws. I had to use smaller screws and washers on one side to make it fit. However, I think the sounds coming from it is worst than stock. No, it was not polarity issue, because I tried both ways by flipping the wire connector to the speakers. So lesson learn, never again I will listen to someone recommendation when the person doesn't even use it themselves. Suffice to say, the JBL Club 34F is going back.

I am also not sure if using coaxial speaker is a good thing, since the default speaker is one-way. I would assume the built in crossover for the dash speakers are not set to work with 2-way speakers. But hey if it sounds good to your ears, then that is all that matters.

I might try Audison Prima 4", but one-way not coaxial, since this statement from its feature caught my eye:
    • No passive crossover required to maximize efficiency: the cone is optimized with the Klippel Scan Vibrometer to obtain a calibrated mechanical low-pass cut-off frequency.
They are $200 a pair however.

The prima Audison sounds very natural I’m feeding 75 watts in to it and is just clean pure sound

Good info on the jbl club 34f, the guy who initially mentioned them in bobs world thread made it sound like they were a no question upgrade, maybe not so much....
Do you have the jbl package or just a base model radio?

I do have JBL system. I think all Pro/Trailhunter come with it by default.
