Replaced leaf springs are sagging

    OK, maybe my brain is backwards. Why would an overload leaf be negatively arched? Makes no sense. Think about it. The overload leaf on my '87 (I know, apples and oranges) was flat.

    On 2nd and 3rd gen trucks they're almost flat but still have a downward arch. So if my think about it is correct, they're just there to spread the load out on the springs above. The reason I took my overload out and added 3 leaf pack is because with the camper shell and couple hundred pounds in the back, then on bumps in the road I could feel the rear smacking down on that overload spring.
