I just got my 09 regular cab, and the OEM plastic bedside covers are pretty much wrecked. Online searches haven't really gotten me anywhere as far as a good replacement, with most saying they would not fit. Maybe because it's a regular cab?

Does anyone have a vendor they could recommend that makes replacements? The next question is how hard are they to get off?

I recently replaced mine and found many available online. I got mine off ebay. Both OEM bed rail caps and tailgate cap for under $200.

They're easy to remove. There are a couple of plastic push pin/rivets that are inside your bed that you'll need to remove. After that, just pry them up. I found it was easier to start at the tailgate end. It'll make popping sounds as there are a lot of tabs inserted into openings in the metal underneath.

What year is yours? I was all over Ebay and just went back and looked again after your post. All I found were for 1st gen, or shortbed 2nd gen tacomas.

Ahhh, a toyota OEM site! The prices aren't as bad as I thought they would be actually. Thanks!
