Replacement brake line clamp for Icon RXTs

Thanks for all the help! Going to head out and see if I can make this happen.

 

The brake line will not reach to the bolt head, which is where it needs to be to be comfortably inside the bracket, if the bracket is bent all the way down.

Maybe this is a hint that I need extended brake lines.

 

The photo in post 15 shows where i attached to the forward bracket. On my truck that's where the brake cable comes closest... seems like it's in more of a relaxed state there then the bracket back by the tire.

 

That’s exactly how mine is. But the brake line is thicker by the lead bracket further back, where the clamp was located previously. Or has another layer over it. I presume to hold up to any rubbing on the bracket. Will see what Lowe’s has to offer.

Anyone know the bolt shank thickness offhand?

I did about the same as a few others here. Use a step bit to open up the factory clamp thing and just bolted it on. Only thing I will add is to make sure the angle is correct and check it every once in a while. Mine ended up rotating on me and wore a pretty good sized hole through the first protective layer of the ebrake cable
