Anyone out there replaced the carpet on their first gen Tacoma?

There's so many options I keep finding for replacement carpets, and I'm just trying to see if anyone has any experience with any of them. I'd like something that fits like factory and matches as well.

    Any input is appreciated!

Thanks for the referral, the prices look good, so I may have to give them a try!

It looks like the carpet is probably thicker than factory too, which should help to keep out noise and keep heat in. Sounds like a win-win.

Do you know if he got the "plush-cut pile" or the "ultra-plush cut pile" carpet?

Got it. I'll have to order a few samples and see which color will best match the oak interior.

I have not replaced mine BUT god damn, folex carpet cleaner is straight up sorcery in a bottle. My interior was bad, wanted new carpet but shipping to hawaii is insane. Tried folex on the headliner and it worked so good I thought I was high.

    A few tweaks
All of the places selling carpet are getting it from Auto Custom Carpet (ACC).

    Rock Auto has good prices.

While I've never used this stuff on auto interiors, we used it regularly on the carpet in our house (especially having kids). It blows me away the stains that this stuff removes. It truly is a miracle product!

I had thought that they may be getting the carpet from Auto Custom Carpet, thanks for confirming this.

I have done it 3 or 4 times using Stock Interiors molded carpet. Give yourself 3 or 4 hours. I put "jute" carpet padding in first with Super 77 spray glue. The big issue is getting center console/shifter cut out correct. If you can use your old carpet as a pattern you should be pretty close. The expansion clips that hold the door thresholds in place usually are missing or broken. If I remember correctly some 1/4" square license plate mounts pop right in and with the correct length screw, they are better than new.

Did this a couple of years ago with Stock Interiors, ordered the black with heavier padding, came out really nice. I did have to lay it flat for a couple of days to get out the kinks from its travel box.

Any difference in noise reduction with the mass backing on the carpet?

I honestly don't remember and having added headers, open CAT and magnaflow exhaust since the carpet install its noisier than average.

But man I wish they made some real long tube headers, that would be awesome.
