I am looking for updated information, I did a search and found information from years ago.
    Back story:
I dropped my 2010 Reg Cab 4x4 off at my local dealer in late February for the leaf spring recall as my truck has a broken leaf. The dealer took the truck in quickly and contacted me and pushing the frame replacement recall. I agreed to have them inspect the frame, the dealer found a very small dime sized hole, my truck has been approved for a frame replacement.

The dealer gave me a loaner, which is pretty cool, my truck has been sitting since. I expected to wait maybe a month or two, however even after two months the dealer is unable to give me an ounce of information regarding my replacement frame. As a Parts Department Manager at a heavy and medium duty truck dealership, I find this shocking. In my world if a customer's truck is down for merely days, I have a big problem on my hands.

So I figured I would reach out to the trusty Tacoma World folks. Recently, 2020 - Current, how long have people been waiting for frames?

The big difference is you work at a place where the customers use their vehicles for work. A car dealer it's typically not that case. Also they gave you a loaner which is completely paid by yota.

I took mine in it failed. I drove my truck for 3 weeks until the frame got there (not supposed to happen) then I took it in and in 2 weeks got it back. The dealer wasn't expecting the frame for 3-4 months. There are so many on the list yota is having trouble keeping up with demand and it's open end as to when dealers will get their requested frames.

Driving their vehicle and not running the miles up on yours plus getting a new truck underneath for pretty much free? Sounds like a deal to me, especially since yours is 11 years old. Good ''road trip'' time on their dime.

The time frame for everything is screwed up because of pandemic, that includes parts.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
Back in 2017, it took about 40 days for them to call me in for the swap. I was told the truck was safe to drive, so I didn't get a loaner until mine went into the shop. They had it finished 3 days later.

I am most certainly viewing this as a positive venture. I just figured I would reach out to see if anyone else has gone down this road recently to feel out the wait time. Thank you everyone who has replied so far.

10 weeks for mine. When I brought my '07 in for the frame inspection, they told me right then that the frame was swiss cheese and the truck was unsafe to drive, so I had a loaner the whole time - brand new top of the line Taco with all the bells and whistles. I told all my friends that I traded up :)
