my 2004 headlights are clouded and I want to replace...I see all kinds of replacements, most LED with a huge range of prices....some are very cheap (under $30). Are some of these cheap junk?
Are there any that are good quality that you would recommend?

the $30 ones work and even if you have to replace them every 5 years it is still worth it.

The problem with these though is that the light output isn't going to as good as stock, because the properties of the reflector are not up to OEM quality. They may look the same, but it's not much more expensive to get OEM-quality headlights. Just my opinion though

How much money are you looking to spend? Are you using halogen lamps or HID's. You can get stock OEM Headlight assemblies for the Tacoma on Amazon for about $150.00 and the quality isn't to bad. If you're going to be using HID's in a STOCK headlight, you're going to get a funny looking light pattern, if not, then this option is might be for you.
I'm saving my money to get these bad boys (link below). They're a pretty penny but I think it's worth the money.

You get what you pay for.

Just replaced mine with some cheap ebay replacements. +/- $70 for two headlights and two corners. While the beam pattern is not as good as OEM, its still much better than the 17 year old yellow hazy originals. I knew that going in and was fine with it.

    before

I also knew they probably weren't going to be sealed well, so I preemptively sealed the housing/lens joint with some silicone. Did this for both headlights and both corners.

^^^ This stuff is great for sealing small cracks without making a mess.

I was pleased and confident that it was going to work. Aaaaaaaannnnd... then I wheeled it that weekend and got moisture/condendation/mud in both headlights and one corner. :bananadead: I have no idea how. Here's a pic of them before the water.

You get what you pay for. Ha ha.
