Hey- Am looking to replace my headlights on my 2008- Where is a decent source for this, with a quality product that will last? My stock headlights have faded, and one side has developed a crack-

    Thanks for your input!

    Oem.

Get the housings alone... theres diff part numbers for just the housings..

Then another number for housings with bulbs, spring keepers, and boots. This stuff is extra $$ and can be swapped over from ur stock setup.

    Find CAPA certified varients maybe...
    Others will chime in.
Most aftermarket crap has worse optics, and they leak.

I replaced my stock headlights a few years ago with an aftermarket headlight called Depo. They have been fine, but I did lay a bead of permatex to reinforce the factory seal. I don’t think the output is a good as the OEM were.

    Welcome to TW!

Under section 3) in this thread, there are links to buy the unloaded housings as mentioned above, but in smoked chrome (you can find cheaper in shiny chrome):

No aftermarket headlight is going to beat the OEM assembly. They will be a reduction in performance and quality. If OEM is out of the question, the next best option is to go for CAPA certified lights. I would not recommend non-CAPA assemblies.

When installing, do one at a time. After installing the first one, point your truck at a wall 20-25ft away, and adjust your new beam to meet your old stock beam cut off. When you swap the 2nd new one in, repeat the adjustment to match your first. That way your headlights are adjusted to the stock position.

You might want to consider aftermarket ones like Spyders and Spec-D.

Stick with the correctly engineered DOT certified headlamp assembly for your specific truck. That way you won't have any of the problems associated with aftermarkets. 10 years lifespan isn't bad at all. My 06 still has originals, and upgraded Halogen lamps. https://store.candlepower.com/64205.html

    That’s a great idea....wish I had done that

OP - OEM is the way to go. A little pricey but worth it...
