I did some searching before posting this and I couldnt find what I need so I hope someone can help me out.

I have the older TRD air intake version on my 2010 Taco and my coupling are literally falling apart and I need the repalcements.

Anyone know of a site I can get these from? I found trdparts4U out of dallas but they want 16 bucks for shipping on top of the 35 bucks for the couplings; if i can find a place with at least cheaper shipping that would be great.

    Thanks in advanced!

Which couplings are you talking about? Just the silcone couplers between the TB and tube and the tube and the box? If so, you just need the size (diameter and length) then go to any performance site or eBay. I found some a few years ago at Autozone online and on eBay.

    I need some too.

I'll be calling afe (they made the original trd intake) probably tomorrow.

I'll post my prices when I get off the phone.

I've already ordered a plug for the front of the afe so I know they sell parts individually.

Lemme know what u need (take a pic of the assembled intake and just mark the parts in ur computers paint/photo program, or point to the parts needed in the pics, or mark with a small piece of masking tape on the parts.

Like I said, I'll prolly have info tomorrow since I have to run to Fresno today.

Maybe I can get us a deal on multiple parts..... Who knows.

Ebay typically has a ton of them, cheap and such, short of going to a custom place.

Yeah I saw those on other sites with the universal ones just wanted to see if I could find ones that were made for that intake if I could

That would be great if you posted that info up I'd rather get the original ones then just universal.

I definitely recommend following up with what Justus is doing. There are a lot of cheap couplings out on the market, as well as good ones. You want to make sure you get the right ones which fit the first time.

Going through AFe is likely the best way.

It is strange though how they fall apart like that. I've seen it on a few other's vehicles as well.

Well my set up came off of a earlier year taco that got into a bad wreck (was a friends brothers) and I was pulling everything I could off of it, so it was already used at that point pretty good in 2010, so the couplings lasted another 3 years; god knows how old they really are.

I had the same problem when the CAI (1st gen) was on my 2005. The one one airbox was not so bad, i would say maybe a bit dry so some cracks were visible. But the one on the TB was destroyed, it was looking just like if it melted dow. The material in some area was like a warm chewing gum. After inpection, my conclusion was that the material was not compatible with petrolum products and has been deterioted by the vapor coming from the vent connected on the CAI tube before the TB.

The system is nom on my 2011 and was totaly refurbished using AFE coupling (black cause red not avalaible), Coupe plex cover and AFE ProDryS filter. And now always keeping an eye on the couplings.

Yeah thats interesting because the one on the TB is like gummy and got stuck as we were taking it off while the other one is just dry/cracked on the opposite end.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
Bumping this old thread because one of my couplers just tore. I put my factory intake back on and want to run a few tanks of gas before committing either way.

Another bump. Same issue. I called AFE and the tech guy said he had no idea about them OEMing the intake. So maybe my question is what is the diameter and length. I know I can measure but I'd have to take it off and again, its disintegrating so I wanted to avoid touching it until I had a replacement
