Hi all. I've nosticed my clutch pedal getting mushy / failing to disengage teh clutch when my truck gets up to temp in stop and go traffic. Pretty sure this is the slave or master cylinder going bad. I tried flushing the hydraulic fluid but the problem returned. I figure next step is to replace the master and slave cylinders. Yeah, probably only one is broken, but it's a 22 year old truck so I might as well do both.

I'm probably going to order new parts from rockauto. They have about 7 different models of both master and slave cylinder. For those of you who have already done this, is there a good / best manufacturer for these parts? The price difference isn't huge, but I don't want to order the most expensive one just because it costs more.

I made the mistake of replacing my MC with a parts store reman. I had to get it done in a day, and I wasn't at home, so it was my best option at the time. However, unless the actual cylinder is physically damaged, I'd highly suggest getting OEM rebuild kits. If that's not your style, then try to stick to Aisin parts. I just looked at RA, and they didn't carry them, but it does look like YotaShop does- looks like you can call them and they'd be able to get you sorted out.

Be sure to read up on bench bleeding.

I also cannot recommend enough that you get a Motiv power bleeder. The seal mechanism for the Toyota MC isn't great to be honest, but the result (perfectly bleed brakes) far out weighs the fuss to get it setup.

I got mine from LCE. They’re marked aisin. Assumed new and not reman, but I could be wrong. Not too pricey imo
