    Hi everyone
I have a 2014 Tacoma regular cab 4x4 and need some advice and guidance. First, I only plan on hunting and trail riding with it so no unnecessary bogging. So I guess the first question is lift. I have thought about a suspension lift 3" max but have been advised against it. I currently have a cbi rear bumper with tire swing and plan to put a front bumper and winch on as well. If I go with no lift what replacement shock should I go with to compensate for weight?

And last tires, I want to go with 235 85r16 to give it some lift. Does anyone have other suggestions? And the reason for the skinny tire is mostly terrain. I live in south ga so no snow.

Cruise around on the build pages, 3 inch lift is pretty standard but most do upper control arms too. Welcome to TW

Search the vendors on TW, they supply and build lifts and can be a wealth of knowledge

    OME 3" lift MK6 wheels 285 Fierce MTs & 4.88s!!
On my 2014 RC 4x4, I put 5100s with OME 884s and LR UCAs on the front with a 1.25" block out back. I got almost a full 3" of lift with no extra weight. I'm running 285/75-16 tires. Very happy with the set-up. Rides better on the road than my son's 2015 DC 4x4 with Icons.

OME Suspension Kit, AFE Filter, Deck Plate Mod 235/85 16 on 16 hole spares.
FNG here with a 1st gen. No lift and beat up suspension. Running 235/86 16's and it rubs a bit on the POS plastic thing below the bumper. No opinion on the late model lift, but my 97' getting full OME this weekend. From a lot of geeking out, taco's will fit a 255/85 16 no lift (1st and 2nd gen stock). If you just want a bit of ground clearance and no re-gear or lift, go for that size. Yeah 4 banger whatever but if you don't want to wheel hard or get the ass dyno involved no need for gears. Just my $1.05.
