    Hi all -

For the 120K service, an independant Subaru/Honda/Toyota service shop quoted me $2K to replace all fluids, i.e. coolant, power steering, transfer, diffs, transmission, brake, everything! Plus plugs, filters and all the normal stuff.

Toyota dealer seems to only recommend doing the fluid replacements on a case by case basis.

    Thoughts?

If they havent been done, sure.

I hate fluid flushes, but they are a part of the ownership game.

I'm a big believer in every 60k miles or 100k km for driveline, transmission, brake fluid and p/s.

What year is the truck? What region are you in? 2k seems like Canadian prices lol.

I just did my math for my dealer prices, it would be roughly 1400$, new plugs, filters, fluids front to back.

    170 coolant, driveline 300, 100 ps, 200 plugs, 80 oil, 170 trans, 160 brake, 170 coolant, 80 filters *(CDN prices, were are higher )

2000$ seems like way too much, even in an expensive city like seattle.

A proper inline flush for the trans is usually 300$ or so instead of a spill and fill. But other than that, I can't see much reason for 2k

Maybe get a quote from a dealer for giggles.

I would say have the brakes trans and cooling system done because those can give you a little trouble if you don’t have at least some experience with it but everything else on that list is extremely easy to do yourself. You could save 1000 bucks even if you had to pick up a few tools you would come out way ahead. But if you really don’t want to do any of it I would definitely shop around. 2k is pretty steep for that list.
