if I remember correctly the clear plastic "diffuser" pops out and the bulb is behind that. The other thing that comes to my memory is that it is a special bulb only available from the dealer, I tinker on so many different vehicles that you just cant remember everything. I do remember having to drive to the dealer to get one only to find out it is special order... pay for it, put the car back together just to do the job a second time in a week when the bulb came it.

It releases from the edge, you'll see little clips. Just pry, it's plastic and unless you're a complete caveman you won't break it

I just called my Toyota parts guy... bulb replacement isnt that easy, I guess it depends on if your AC control head has 2 or 3 bulbs. for the 2 bulb head this is the part number he gave me. 90010-05152

It's super easy on this model cuz it's just a single bulb behind that diffuser. The later models are a bit tougher

This part number is a solution to the climate control panel issue that I'm having with my truck. Is there a difference between the regular #74 bulb that you can buy in an auto parts store and the Toyota 90010-05152 light bulb besides the green rubber tip?
