Replacing entune plus with premium

    will a entune preumiun work in place of a entune xm sirus plus\standard. I have a 2019 Tacoma sr5. I bought a take out of a 2018 trd { not a JBL} and of course no bezel. off of ebay. has anyone done this to a sr5. and will the antenna on truck work with gps on premium????

    To answer your question, yes, there is the gps connection that just needs plugged in to the new premium radio. All plugs are the same on both radios and can only go on one way. Just pop off the bezel, remove 4 nuts that hold in the old radio. If you have XM activated, remove the XM module from the old radio and attach it to the new radio. For me, it was about a 20 minute job. Big improvement from the entune plus on the SR5, and have a working GPS. The only gotcha is you will need a new bezel for the larger radio. Price is between $200-$275.

    You can easily trim your Entune Plus bezel to fit the larger Entune Premium headunit, if you're a little bit handy with a dremel. Take off a bit less material than you think you need to, then file/shave/sand the edges to get the opening large enough.
