I'm, contemplating replacing my front seats for something a bit more comfortable and powered. Hopefully, I will be able to gain some more headroom. Has anyone else done this before, or have a good reason why it wont work?

I think I've seen Subaru and 4Runner seats bolt directly on to the existing holes. I'm sure you can make a lot of seats fit with determination.

I'm interested in this. Been having to take a few long trips in Tacoma. Seats are very uncomfortable after a couple of hours. After four hours the seats are really uncomfortable. After six hours it's almost torture. Never had a vehicle with seats this uncomfortable.

Just replaced my bench in an 05 reg cab with sport seats couple mo ago. Pretty straight forward - lots of help on this site. very happy with the result.

Anyone tried using washers to raise the back of the front seats by about a half inch or so? I think there is a write up on that around here somewhere. Every time I want to do a search of TW I have to do a Google search and then at the end of the search query enter Tacoma World. That little trick has worked every time for me.

It does work for old threads. Raised mine 3/4 inch in the back using regular washers and longer high strength bolts; Big difference. Whether it's an "ejector seat" or not, I'll find out if I'm in a total. However, my lower back is liking the height with less pressure on the upper legs.

OP I have 4runner seats I still need to install...if your truck has SRS system...it's more difficult...I still haven't made time to do all the issue of making sure all the sensors work after the install so it's on my project to do list...but from the research I did...it's not a simple swap...at least not for the bench seats conversion. For bucket to bucket seat swap...have to still deal with the SRS sensors.

I would like to see those leather? Seats installed.
Pics of the install would be helpful to all.
