Replacing hood and the latch won't "latch" all the way

The latch wouldnt go all the way on the old hood now im replacing it and am running into the same issue. Any tips? My bad for all the photos first time posting.

    Either on the hood itself or the core support where the fenders meet there are adjustable rubber snubbers, these will set the hood height side to side and give just enough upwards push so that when you pull the hood release lever the hood pops up and the saftey latch on the latch assembly stops the hood from opening all the way.

    i had same problem with another manufacturer's hood latch/striker
    i installed backwards......ugh

    may i ask why you replaced striker?
    a collision to front inner structure could shift everything

    My hood was having the same issue (wouldn't latch all the way, it would pop-up if I drove by a large semi heading the other way), so I sprayed all the moving parts in the latch mechanism down with PB Blaster and have no more issues. Hopefully it's that simple for you.
