I have a Leer 100XR truck cap on my 2020 Tacoma. The truck cap has Thule tracks mounted on the roof, which are supposed to be compatible with Yakima towers or Thule feet. Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to find out which parts are required for these tracks. Both manufacturers websites do not list truck caps under size guides.

Can anyone confirm the following parts being compatible with a Leer truck cap?

    Yakima
    Skyline Towers
    Landing Pad #1
    JetStream Bars

    Thule
    Rapid Podium Foot Pack
    Thule Fit Kit
    Thule WingBar Evo 108

Either setups cost $500-600. I only need the bars to strap down a paddle board or kayak with rackets; I don't need all the compatible accessories (bike racks, snowboard racks, etc). Are there third-party systems that are compatible in Thule bars that are significantly cheaper?

I have Yakima tracks on mine and use:

    Yakima Landing Pad 1
Yakima Control Towers (old style, still available online)
    Yakima 58" Roundbars

I think Rhino Racks offer quality rack, but priced about the same. I would look for used parts on ebay, craigslist, and FB marketplace.

If you're looking for feet and rails I have a brand new set from Rhino Rack. I'm on the GA/FL border. I used Rhino Tracks on my Leer 100XR then mounted the Prinsu. So I never used the aero bars.

More than my wife knows about....
I just spoke with Thule as Im in the same boat. Thule Kit 3101, 460R podiums, locks and bars. I would just stick with Thule as the tracks are Thule, just incase there is a problem down the road. If you're using yakima and thule parts the manufacture may not help with warranty issues/failures. Im currently trying to figure out which length to go with on my bars.....

This is super helpful as I just bought a 2017 Tacoma with a Leer shell that already has tracks. I'm moving my 460R podiums from my previous car, just need to get the right fit kit and new Wingbar Evo's in the right length. Will the 53" bars do the trick?

Get an idea what you may want to carry on the rack and go from there. I use the Yakima large round bars which are 66", making them about the width of the bed at the flares. I wanted to be able to carry multiple boats, boats and bikes, boat and Yakima Space Booster (discontinued cargo box), etc and I like being able to hang things off the ends like my sleeping bag(s) and bedding (airing them out in the morning) or a battery powered lantern. I also made an awning that attaches to the rear rack and by having it wider than the shell opening it helps keep rain out, otherwise rain hits the open window, runs down onto the hinge and into the bed and tailgate.

If you buy longer bars you can always cut them down to whatever size you decide you like.
