    Hello,

Recently purchased a 2005 Tacoma Prerunner TRD, 212,000 miles. Maintenance records are poor to non existent. Although the person I purchased it from is a motorhead since high school whom I’ve known for decades. He cannot recall if the ignition coil packs have ever been replaced. He would have done them himself. Truck is in excellent condition. Mechanic inspection was performed and he was impressed with condition. Anyway, if I’m not getting chk engine lights or code alarms. Should I replace these?

    Thanks for your time,

    Kevin

if there is nothing wrong with them, leave well enough alone. 442,000K on mine, no issues

coil packs are kind of the type of part you leave alone until they die. If you don't have a check engine light or a misfire no point on changing them.
