I've replaced interior lights before and the LEDs were just too bright and I regretted it. Has anyone here replaced their interior lights with white LEDs that weren't overpowering like most? I'd like it dim but anything that just isn't bright as hell would be nice.

Sidenote: Any suggestions for reverse LED bulbs?

@WaTaco2018 was kind enough to help me out with some. On his, he said the dome was too bright. For me using the same bulbs, I really dig it as does the rest of the fam. His fix was to just rotate the dome light a bit to use the heat sink as a partial shade.

The OEM bulbs seem to work as ambiance lighting. These LEDs really light the interior up and are helpful for actually seeing things.

For reverse lights, check this out if you are annoyed by the not-so-great brake / turn / taillight setup:

There will be the slick switchback option or the choose-your-own-path option. I'm going with the second, which uses regular bulbs in the reverse location and a separate reverse light:

Thanks for the response, I plan on moving to the winjet tail lights soon so just looking for the LED reverse bulb to hold me over until then. As far as the interior, I definitely prefer the ambient lighting of stock just hate the yellow tone.

A warmer color temperature may be what what are looking for. I have not replaced mine yet due to the harsher (colder) lights that I have seen available. Color temperature is measured in Kelvins (K) The yellow stock bulbs look to be in the 2,000 kelvin range. The normal LED replacements look to be in the 5,000K- 6,000K range. When replacing the bulbs in your house you usually see 5,000 and 3,000K bulbs at Home Depot. The colder 5,000K bulbs are good in the Kitchen but the warmer 3,000K bulbs work better in the living room. I am hoping someone has a link for 3,000- 4,000 K LED interior replacements for my truck.
