My passenger side low beam on my 07 taco went out.
Is it possible to change the low beam bulb only?
I remember a few years ago trying to replace the drivers side.
It was a disaster and I had to take it to the dealer.

What are my options if any?

    TIA

The high beam and low beam use the same bulb, so you're out of luck if you had trouble changing it last time.

Driver's side has the battery in the way. Passenger side has more wiggle room. Most change both lamps when one fails. (as in both sides)

The 9003/H4 type bulb the 2nd gens use has both the low and highbeam filament inside the same glass bulb.

Luckily, there are lots of very good options available.

About halfway in has some charta comparing the lux readings (maximum intensity) of many different bulbs.

Are you looking for a performance upgrade (higher intensity, at the cost of shorter lifespan) or just to replace the current bulbs with long life ones?

As I recall the headlight was a one piece?
I will see if the Dlr can put in a new bulb.
The housing is a foggy mess.
I had it buffed out a few years ago.

    Thanks
