Replacing lug nuts w/o a jack

Hey TW, don't currently have access to a jack and I'm trying to replace my lugs. Using a star pattern, would it be safe to take them off and replace/torque the new ones down one at a time?

 

Note: I'm on even ground so the truck wont be holding weight to the front or rear

 

You don't even have the stock bottle jack under the rear seat?

The answer is yes, it’s fine to replace them one at a time without jacking it up.

If you're just replacing the lugs I don't see the problem...do them one at a time to be more cautious but shouldn't be a big deal.

 

I'm waiting on my buddy to get mine back to me but hes out of town on a quick road trip, asked to borrow mine and I'm too quick to say yes sometimes

It'll be fine, just don't take them all off at once. It's hard to properly torque them unless it's on the ground anyways.

 

It will come back with a new bar, chain and a fresh load of oil. And he'll drop off a cord of cured oak along with a 5 gal can of E0 fuel for it.

Just make sure you torque them, would hate to see this happen.
