So I recently had a spurt of random blindness and backed into a truck parked behind me. Anyhow, my rear bumper is in need of replacing. I managed to find a body shop who offered to hook me up with a parts company who would sell me the bumper at dealer price of 88 bucks (unpainted). Anyhow, the problem is that my current bumper is pushed in a little on one side, so I think the bracket may be slightly bent. I want to avoid ordering new brackets because they add another 100.00 to the price. Anyone have suggestions on straightening the bracket out?

Just like any other (non-HSS or aluminum) metal vehicle part. Either take it off and pound it square with out without heat. Or hook on to it with a winch, hydraulic ram, or etc and pull while beating on the kink to relieve the metal. Split a bit of heat if you need to. Rinse and repeat until straight.
