I have a 2015 Tacoma v6 SR5 and notice my skid plate is loose. After investigating I see 2 of the front bolts are completely missing, rusted out. I can feel part of the bolt still in the the truck. IMG_3820.jpg How can I replace the bolts?

Those bolts like to snap off.
I've never seen them "rust off".

any ways, I think they are m8x1.25

ok I was replacing my fog light bulb and noticed the skid plate moved. then realized the head of the bolt was missing (see attached pic) looks really rusted but the bolt could have snapped off. how do I remove the rest of the bolt to put a new bolt in?

if you remove the 2 rear bolts, the skid plate comes off.
If you have enough sticking out, Vice grips and heat.
    If not, drill it out.

You might be able to get ahold of some of the stud from the back side. Use a little PB Blaster or something on those. Also, when you buy replacements, get grade 8. If they do rust in a little, they won't twist off when you're trying to remove them.

I had two that got stripped had to tap and do thread inserts. Was a pain doing it upside down.

grabbed new stainless bolts and washers from Home Depot. Also sprayed with fluid film for good measure.
