Replacing spare cable hoist??

    You are right for the most part, but all "recalls" are called campaigns in Toyota world, and some have expired. The semantics are simple.

    The class action law suits are finite as well, and many refer to them as "recalls" as well.

    Yes the semantics are simple. Recalls do not expire. Service Campaigns do. Many people erroneously called the voluntary service campaign to replace frames a recall, but that didn't make it a recall. If it was a recall, it wouldn't expire. Simple. So simple it doesn't matter what people call it. Imagine that.

    Here's a printout from a Toyota Dealership. Huh. "Safety Recall". Weird.
