So one of the spider gears in my rear end went. I have already taken most if it apart and gotten the 3rd member out, but I was wondering if there are any tips/tricks that anyone has for doing this. Also I read somewhere about having to redo axle seals when doing this? Is that true and if so can someone give me any instructions on how to go about that? Thanks in advance

You might as well do the seals with the axle shafts out, but it's not a must do. Pop the center pin out and the spider gears will just kind of fall out.

If the seals aren't leaking now, then I wouldn't replace them.

Take the 3rd out, pop the retaining pin holding the center pin in place (the little pin can only go out one way , you'll see) then simply remove the spider gears. Make sure you remove the shims as well. Easy peasy
