    Hello everyone,
I have an 09 Tacoma dbl cab 4x4 TRD Sport short bed. I've got 90K miles and want to replace the stock shocks/struts with Bilstein 5100s all around. If I have them set at 2.5 in. above stock can they just be switched out or do I have to do anything else?
    Thanks,
    Woody

thanks, Roadking1, Yes I heard that but do I need to install another leaf or block in the back or extend the brake lines or anything of that nature. I've read that on other toy sites. I had to have it aligned when I had the leafs replaced due to the recall.

It looks like everyone is recommending .85 or 1.75, any higher you start running into trouble. I'll keep reading.

I put mine at 2.5.No issues. It sits level.I had the recall springs done after.I bought 1 inch blocks for the rear but I returned them. They were unnecessary.

If you go 2.5 buy a mouth guard. It's going to be stiff as f**k

I did mine this past weekend. 0.85 notch with the taco lean 1/4" spacer and my DCSB Sport sits perfectly level after alignment. TSB leaf springs also done 2 months ago. I was very surprised how high the 0.85 clip actually lifted the front. I'm glad I didn't go higher.

ATX Mojaves with 265/75 16 Hankook Dynapro ATMs, Spidertrax 1.25" spacers (front and rear), Bilstein 5100 all around up front set at 1.75", Blacked out badges, Pioneer AVIC D3 DVD/NAV Head Unit, K&N Air Filter, Tyger Tri Fold Tonneau Cover, Rockford Fosgate Punch Speakers.
Just replacing the shocks in the rear will not give you any lift back there, in order to get a lift in the rear you'll need to get an AAL, see leaf packs, or blocks. Setting the front at 1.75 on stock coils will level the truck.

My old setup, 5100s at 1.75 up front on stock coils, nothing in the rear.
