2002 Toyota Tacoma regular cab base model
Hi all I'm a brand new member to this forum, just now joined! I have a 2002 Toyota Tacoma regular cab 2-wheel drive base model with a 2.4l and auto. tranny, my dad purchased this truck brand new but gave it to me a few years ago when I found myself in dire need of a set of wheels. I've had problems lately with the driver side sun visor flopping down while driving down the road particularly going over bumps it was so worn out from my dad using the hell out of it I had great difficulty getting it back up. I looked on Amazon and found one for a 4-runner but wasn't sure it fit and they wanted 70+ bucks for it. I didn't want to spend that kind of $$$ not knowing for sure so I went to the local Pick-N-Pull in Dallas yesterday to see if I could find any other Toyota vehicles where the sun visors would interchange with my Tacoma, because as most Taco owners they're next to impossible to find in a wrecking yard. I found an '04 Corolla that had very similar visors to the Tacoma, I purchased both of them so I'd have a matching set for $16. They fit pretty well but I'll probably need to go back and get the little hooks as they don't fit them very well, I'll just see how they do for now. Just thought I'd pass this info on. Has anyone else come across this? Just curious if there's any other Toyota vehicles have interchangeable visors with Tacos? I know Camry doesn't.
