    ha to be clear intent was cardboard :thumbsup:

    I’ve also used cervesa aided design in parallel with cardboard for maximum creativity :drunk::welder:

    also been successful with transferring bolt patterns with paper and pencil, cut paper or tap multiple together to fit datums, lay it on hole pattern and scribble away. Then transfer to material and center punch.

    Having a little trouble deciding if I want the wing to be more narrow at the end, and go as wide as the flares or slightly less wide but taller?

    Both ideas would extend towards the rear wheel, just need to make the "platform" the swingout would sit on.

    If you plan on wheeling it I'd make the sides taper. That will allows you to drag over rocks instead of creating a new anchor point. It's hard to tell in the photo's but is the back plate of the bumper at a 90 or a slight inward angle?

    I've done a mod or two
    The fun thing about planning armor for an 80 is there's always another massive drag point to consider. Fix your bumper, great now the cats drag, fix that, the muffler came off on a rock, fix that, now the resonator drags, fix that, you're scraping link mounts, fix that, the AC tubing and receiver drags off, fix that, now you're touching the bumper/frame again
