Repurpose Qi Switch for behind dash usb

    The switch and the charger pad are powered by the same accessory circuit. This is a 7.5 amp fused circuit. Then it branches off to the charger and switch at the J10 junction. The switch then sends a second switched power to the charger to turn it on. This power should be more than able to power a USB charging plug. I do agree that a relay would help provide better power and reduce the load through the switch.

    The circuit is the same, and it’s enough to power the USB. But it’s not pulling a load through the switch, that was my point. If the factory doesn’t trust the switches to pull power through it, IMO neither should you. Change the relay switch to grey wire rather than green wire in my reply if want to use the same circuit, I just personally wouldn’t run the load through the switch.
