Hey guys, today I picked up a set of used 5100s. I proceeded to call the only Off-Road shop I know and they quoted me $300 to install fronts only. That's ridiculous.

So like the title says, anyone know any shops in the area I can call for a quote?

$300 you say? I would say you are getting a great deal. Don't under-value your local mechanics time, knowledge and ability to have the correct tools for the job...

If you have a basic set of metric hand tools, jack stands and a hydraulic jack, this can be as simple as watching a diy video on youtube and following along.

Well I didn't think of it like that. I'll admit my fault and ignorance on this one.

I guess I thought it was ridiculous because when I called earlier last year, the same shop quoted $500 for 5100s all around and install. That means they are charging $200 for 5100s all around which is a great deal.

Edit: seeing as the earlier quote was $500.
all 4 Bilsteins is ~$300 depending on where you buy. That means install for all 4 would be ~$200.
You can see why I thought $300 for install of fronts only was ridiculous.
