This shows you how friggin awsome the resale values will be on yours- I did the Vehix profile for my '01 Limited and after the add-ons it's still worth almost $18,000!! That's a depreciation of only $6000 bucks over 7 years..not bad. Compare this to say a Dodge Dakota of the same 4-door class with the same addons that my buddy bought in '01 and it's only worth $10,000! Just goes to show you ya get what ya pay for.

The 1st gen hold there value really well! My truck on the other hand no so much. I was looking to trade my truck in on an 04 D-Cab Taco 4x4 and the dealer was going to give me 15k for my 06 X-Runner with 25k on it. :der:

When i was looking to buy the taco i saw 2007, dcab trd sport in a used car lot, they wanted 290,000 mx pesos (2008 is 312,400 mx pesos) , thats a good example, also, that was the only one i saw, i looked in every lot..... so no one wants to get rid of their tacos in town lol...... another thought, dealers will offer less than what your car is worth, sometimes its better to hang on and sell it outside, 1-3k is worth the wait....glad i bought the taco

Ok well I thought I would chime in on this topic so i went to kbb.com and compared my tacos value with a chevy, dodge, and a ford

My taco is a 2001 double 4x4 v-6 trd loaded with 141k excellent condition
    Value $10,750

Chevy 1500 Silverado same stuff as my truck value $9,920
    S-10 value $7,500

    Dodge 1500 same options $9,360
    Dakota $8,865

    Ford F-150 same options $10,205
    Ranger $8,700

Well the Toyota is still leading the pack by around $1k
