    Made it home!!!
Huge thanks to Matt and Brad for pulling an all-nighter and driving up to meet me with a trailer.
I'll post later details, pics, narrative, and whatnot. But right now, I'm taking my son to Disneyland for his 5th birthday.

    No.
Matt and Brad will never pay for another meal or beer at any meet I'm at.

And Matt, Brad: I know how you guys are. So let me put it this way: If you want to help me out, and if you are my friends, you're not going to argue with me and you're not going to say No. Because I'm not taking No from you two on this.

    x2!!!!!
This whole episode solidified my belief that Brad, and Matt, are two of the most generous, kind-hearted people alive. The world would be a remarkably different place if we had more of them......in a very good way.

I'll add my .02. I have gotten to know Shane, Matt and Brad from our OC Meetups thread and all are great guys.
Matt- always there to help anyone out. Whether looking for crackheads in Trabuco Canyon or his cat Ramsey in the desert. First guy I would call if I ever needed help.
Brad- same as above, but has a propensity to jump through fire pits that my 5 year old thinks is very funny! Great guy.
I have been on the trail with both of these guys, and at the first sign of someone needing help, they are the first ones there. Often sacrificing their own rigs to recover someone else.
Shane- have met him many times at our bi-weekly meets. Always interesting when he shows you his latest recovery/prep gear in his truck. Always wondered why he needed so much gear/preps. I will never wonder about this again!
Sounds like we need a Portillos run so everyone can get this story first hand!

Extremely kind of both of you to say. I know I can count on you guys to help me out if I'm ever in a bind like Shane was this weekend. I'm sure Brad can say the same.

Meetup this Friday, Portillos sounds fantastic. :)

This is the second thread I've seen like this. The other was a dude stuck in the mud near Houston.

Glad y'all got him out safe, and that makes for one hell of a story!
