Food, water, GPS, shelter, knowledge of exactly where the nearest town is... plust let's not forget he managed to get it back on it's wheels by himself.

He's better off solo than most groups are.

Thank you guys so much for the support. Shane is very appreciative of everybody on this thread and the other 2 threads. He was tired, and frankly very worn out when we got to him, but we were able to winch him up the trailer with ramps, using a blue Optima battery on the ground (his battery will not hold a charge) and his own winch. Got it all strapped down by 3:00am, and high-tailed it across the Mojave only in time to hit traffic on the 91 going into OC. I'll be working until 6 tonight, and so will Brad. Shane, will be taking his boy to Disneyland.

I was a bit late for work this morning, Brad is a few hours late, but it was well worth it. The look on his son's face to have his daddy back for his 5th birthday is all the thanks we needed.

Some pics of a very long night:

Thank you, but I really need to thank our friend Garrett for virtually throwing the keys to his Dodge at us before we could finish asking for it, and to my boss, Bond at Rebel Off Road for generously lending the flatbed to us.

Lastly, I want to thank Brad. He's been there through thick and thin, and if it's one thing I can be thankful of TW for, it's for providing me with some of the best friends a guy could ask for. The guy drops everything at the first sign of somebody needing a hand, and doesn't ever ask for anything in return. It's hard to find people like that these days. Glad I can call him my best friend and partner in crime :spy:

Gotta get back to work here! :D
