Reset MPG

On my Tundra, i could reset gas mileage at any time by pressing the center reset button. On my new Tacoma, nothing happens when i press reset button. Can you only reset when you fill the gas tank ?

 

Not sure which button you are talking about on the Tacoma. I can reset the trip but not sure about the gas mileage.

 

There’s an option on the head unit: apps>eco>update reset (or something like that).
What are you trying to do? If you reset it this way while driving, it doesn’t reflect on the gauge cluster until you turn the vehicle off and back on I’m pretty sure

 

There are two readouts and I believe the one you want you have to customize to the screen to add. One is tank average MPG - you cannot reset that one. That resets when you add any amount of fuel (and sometimes when parking on a steep enough angle lol).

You can add "Average MPG" to 1 of your 3 drive information screens and that is resettable. See "Drive Information" in your owners manual.
