Resi Residence?? Is this a permanent Solution??

So I Guess this is't gonna fly...



I've been bolting things on for a year....





Got my TC and Kings from a member here on TW.

Looks like from talking to the guy's at king, I'm gonna have to pull the shocks apart to change out the hoses and relocate my resi's so I can put them anywhere I'm not limited in any way...

So just wanted get some opinions from you guys on where, and why you put your resi's where you did... Pix if ya got em

Hows everything working out for you?

When I mounted mine, I did a little quarter twist in the hose so it curved slightly upward, then mounted them in front of the upper control arm slightly above and out of the way.

When I ordered the shocks, I specified this gen tacoma and the TC kit, and when I got them i was a little shocked that they didn't do some sort of elbow at the joint between the hose and the shock body....

 

I think your UCA is going to bash through the resi hose at full compression

You can purchase the 90 degree fitting. But yes, you will need to take the shock apart to get the air out of the shock once you switch it. Also in that position, you run the risk of the UCA bolt hitting the resi hose directly when you are at full bump.

Typically people run the hose between the spindle and coilover, under the UCA, to the front of the font of the truck. You can also run it to the back.

 

Or you can do it the way bfo mentioned.
Either way, just make sure it is clear of moving components

 

I like the idea of the 90 degree and moving the resi's forward...



Seems like that would leave room for secondaries or bumps....
Just want to get some idea's before I dive in...

Here are mine mounted using reservoir mount tabs from Mckenzies. One off the UCA gusset and one off the frame with a 90 hose fitting facing forward. 10" coilover though so it mounts a little higher.

Not having to do things twice is the perfect way to go about it. You should order some total chaos uca/coil bucket gussets. Its just extra piece of mind and you would not have to redo them anytime in the future.

But you need to move that resi before you stuff that front end. As others have said it will just shear it in half if that UCA bumps.
