I just purchased a 2011 Toyota Tacoma Crew can 4.0
    It’s got a 2 inch lift running 33’s on 17s.
I notice a constant bog feeling and/or resistance somewhere. Also when reversing, it is initially very tight like the break is still on then free’s up right after.

Were the differentials re-geared? If the gear ratio is off, it will feel like it's bogged down.

Lari might be on to something.

When were your breaks last serviced? I've seen vehicles that have high mileage that after having new rotors and pads that the pistons start leaking and getting stuck. Have you placed your palm on all four hubs of your truck after a 1/2 hour trip? You could also shoot each break component with a digital thermometer to see if you have a brake that is dragging. The only other thing I could think of would be gearing and big tires. My truck didn't feel quite right with 32" tires when I first bought it, so I went back to stock and it feels almost just as peppy as my PreRunner Sport did. I will say they are sluggish tow vehicles, but they are fantastic at pulling loads with stability for their weight and size. Good luck to you !

Thank, it’s got stock gearing and has 103000 miles. Ill check the heat of the hubs, that’s a good idea

I checked the heat of the rotors, fronts are warm, as expected and for the rear, the driver side was warm and the passenger side was cold. Plus theirs oil marks around the driver side rear break.

Pull the drums off and look for a leaking wheel cylinder or axle seal. Fluid can contaminate the shoes and cause a sticking feeling
