    Edit to update:
Likely not a resistor the switch is burned, see response with pic.
    2008 Prerunner.
AC settings started acting up , would run at lower speeds sometimes on high but would often shut off on high setting.
Figured it was the blower resistor so I replaced it.
When i tested all settings worked at the same speed, expect high which shuts off the blower.

Initially I had not changed out the plug so i changed it to the new plug to see what would happen.
Result was the fan would run on low fine, medium, and medium high run at high speed, but when I turned it to high it would turn off.
I put the original plug back on and now have the same result as the new plug.
So for transparency, the resistor is from Amazon.
Its going back, i am presuming i should just buy OEM? Any "best" source or recommendation or where to buy??

Toyota doesn't sell pigtails, you have to buy the connector body and terminals separately.

I won't say it can't go on fire but I've never heard of one burning down from it.
