My truck was at the dealer recently and after I got it back, I noticed that my dash menus were out of order and my miles til empty has been raised. Its been over 300 multiple times now.

I know, first world problems, but my OCD is curious, ha. With the menus, it used to take 3 clicks to the right to get to the tire pressure screen. Not its just 1 to the right. Also, my fully loaded setup gets about 240-250 miles on the full tank count down. The last 3 fill ups its been saying 320-310. I'm expecting this to keep dropping but I'm currently at 192 miles at slightly less than half a tank. So who knows, ha.

Is there a chance that Toyota updated something and didn't tell me? My receipt just shows diagnostics, nothing else, ha. I'm waiting on a call back for confirmation.

Check your service order, it would be on there. Also, if they do a TSB update that changes your ECU ID there should be a sticker under the hood denoting the update and new ID. It's also possible depending on what you got done that they disconnected the battery.

It's absolutely possible it got an update. Depending on the issue, oftentimes the first step is to update software and see if it fixes the problem

It went in for a clutch/transmission issue. More than likely they did disconnect the battery. Thats not my big concern. More about the update and them not even saying anything. I'll have to reflash my tune but I might test this out for a minute and see how it does.

No new stickers under the hood either.

Just my personal opinion as a tuner, but I think if you went from a tune back to a stock tune you'd notice the difference fairly quickly.

Normally I would agree. It had been about 3 weeks since I last drove it. Ended up being a clutch issue, so I had my mechanic take care of that. He also did the accumulator delete. So I had both of those to adjust to as well.

I think if they did a tsb to upgrade the engine, and transmission's performance, it would have no effect on your dash readouts. A buddy had a 2019 trd, and had the tsb for that done. He never mentioned it, only saying it didn't change much of anything.

My mechanic tried one of those accumulator discs first, it leaked, so then he just replaced the accumulator with a hard line that his shop made.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I believe I figured out my dash menu issue. My battery has been disconnected a few times for mod installs in the last 6-8 months. I've noticed my menus had changed every time that it was reconnected. So that seems to be the culprit. I actually prefer the smaller menu option. I never really used anything but the speedometer, tire pressure, and roll/pitch screens. But now I know, ha.
