First off, I ordered a set of four 315’s and so far I’ve only received two wheels from FedEx. They separated the shipment into two, and I’ve only received the first part. What’s weird is that FedEx marked the second one as delivered even though I never received it. I live in a town home complex and checked to see if they left it somewhere else but nothing. I’ve read that delivery drivers mark them as delivered and then try again the next day. So I’m hoping that’s what happened and not something shady.

Lastly, the two wheels that I did receive, one of them shows signs that it was used and mounted before. I bought these straight from method’s website and paid full price for brand new wheels. The wheels have scratches and even a chip. The front face seems to be ok except for the chip on the outer side. This blows because I was going to mount them on today and now I have to wait for them to reply and see what they can do to resolve this. I emailed and sent them photos, they haven’t responded yet. I wonder if they work on Saturday’s. They have been super responsive until this happened. What a shitty experience.

Anyone else have a bad experience with Method Wheels??

Edit: I forgot to mention that I already filed a claim/investigation with FedEx for the two wheels lost.

I would send method an email and make sure they cover shipping back. They have been clearly mounted and possibly used so I would expect a replacement

Yeah, I emailed them late Thursday. Friday was Christmas so I understand why they didn’t reply Friday. Hoping to get a response today, that’s if they work Saturday. If not, Monday.

How was it packaged? Maybe mishandled by FedEx?

Are the wheels spray painted over or something? That black crap on the back looks like runny paint...or tire lube.

Wonder if someone ordered a rim to replace their fucked up rim and sent it back to get a refund and swapped them out to pull a fast one on method. Then it got thrown back into inventory.

Possible but the vendor should have inspected the returned item prior to placing it back in the rotation to be purchased again

I’ve emailed Method a few times before I bought my wheels. I usually got a response the next day. I’m sure you will hear from them early next week.

Return them on their dime, get a refund and buy another brand. Tell them why with photos. It will likely fall on deaf ears but you never know. Loss of revenue is really the only thing that companies understand.

Also wanted to add if you go with the Methods, get the extended thread lug nuts.

Had you ordered from a local dealer(if possible) so much easier to handle situations like this.

Subscribed. I almost purchased a new set from their site just after black Friday. I would be so pissed if used wheels arrived. Really curious how this happens and more so how it gets resolved. Good luck OP.

There is no way that damage was done in shipping. That wheel has been used. They didn’t even try cover it up. Not good.

Sorry y’all! I never got any notifications for this thread. Didn’t realize other people commented on it.

UPDATE: 3-4 days after I posted this and sent the email, they called me and apologized. They said they don’t know how this could’ve happened because they normally scrap returned wheels. They sent me a link to print out a return label and asked me to drop it off at a local FedEx. Then they said they would be shipping out a new wheel to me by the end of the day and should arrive within a few days. I said ok cool, but it’s really inconvenient for me. I explained to them that I've been wanting to put them on my truck and my tires are just sitting in the garage. I told them it's pretty much delaying everything. They said they're really sorry but the new wheel should arrive shortly. We hung up.

Like 30 minutes after, I emailed them again because I forgot to ask them if they can send the new wheel through a different shipping carrier (NOT FEDEX). I explained to them that my other two wheels are lost and FedEx is doing an investigation. They said that is the only carrier they deal with unfortunately and that they would contact FedEx themselves. They explained that FedEx is handling a lot of the Covid stuff over here in the west coast and that could be delaying things. I said ok... but in my mind I was like what does that have to do with FedEx saying they delivered my package and then saying they could've dropped it off somewhere else and they won't know until they talk to the driver?? Anyways, I was about to ask them if they can compensate me with free lug nuts or something and before I sent that email, they called me and left me a voicemail pretty much explaining everything again and let me know that they are going to credit the price of one wheel. So I got 4 wheels for the price of 3! That was a huge plus on their part. They didn't have to do that and it was cool for them to go out of their way and offer that. The man I spoke to the entire time was John.

Overall the experience was a headache but it ended with satisfying the customer, so shout out to them. FedEx ended up delivering my wheels a day or two after. They actually arrived before the replacement wheel.

I think next time I will be handling things locally and just having them ship to a store and picking them up there.

Here are some pics with the wheels on
