I use credit for everything. Cash may be faster for someone that has the cash out and ready and a cashier that knows whats going on. In reality, the person digging through their purse/pocket to find loose change and a cashier that doesnt care takes way longer than my 4 digit pin.

It's going to get WORSE because now the Canadian penny is completely worthless, even in Canada!

The ones that piss me off are the Filipinos.
There is a coin that is about the size of a quarter... and it is quite literally worth about 1/2 cent.
I occasionally get those in my change in Burbank/Glendale/North Hollywood.

 

It's worth a penny and will be until they are all gone , they don't just lose all their value .

Common misconception and not true.

Defacing currency is only a crime if the intent of the defacing is for criminal intent.
Otherwise, the amusement park machines that emboss a penny with the park logo would be illegal.

Removing one corner from each of four $20 bills and attaching them to the corners of a $5 bill is a felony.
Ripping a $20 bill into 20 pieces and throwing them in a dumpster is not.

 

I didnt get that until I saw you were 'merican. Our 5s are blue and 20s are green so that wouldnt really fly here. haha
That would result in a blue five dollar bill with green 20s corners.

Just got a couple of these myself yesterday. Plastic bills. Another good reason to call it monoply money

Need to go back to $1 bills too. I find it way more convient. Wont miss the penny, hate getting change under a quarter back.
