Honestly next time I will 100% pay someone to do this. It's been exceptionally frustrating lol I couldn't get the axle out, then couldn't get the bushing out, now I can't get the new one in

I got everything finished up last night. I was expecting it to take an hour and it took five lol

    Things I learned:
-Pushing upward from the bottom while pulling at the axle helped substantially. I tried prys, using the metal ridges to hit it outward, yanking at it and a lot more. The solution ended up being pushing from the bottom while prying from the side and having a buddy pull at the same time
-Couldn't get the metal tool to fit behind the bushing for the life of me. Ended up just breaking the bushings lip with a chisel to resolve the situation.
-When putting the new bushing one in, it was like it didn't fit. The tolerance is VERY tight. We didn't want to force it and cause any damage because I needed to get home that night and it wasn't worth the risk. I tried various tapping methods and a socket, couldn't get anything to work. Ended up putting it in the freezer for about 45 minutes and we got it in first try after that (def wasn't my idea, i would've never thought to try that).
-There was a little bit of a struggle getting it back in, but not nearly as bad as getting it out. Put the open end of the c-clamp faced down and it slides right in.

Lift, tires, wheels go on tomorrow. Super excited. Will post hopefully at night unless the snow delays us

Gap insurance....everyone should have it! That way you’ll never have to argue with an insurance company over the value of your vehicle again. It’s only $275 through my credit union.
How did you manage to get all your stuff off the truck after the wreck? Tow it to the house? Did you have your old suspension to put back on? I’m surprised your diamondback and CVT weren’t destroyed. Sounds like you’re almost back to pre-crash status!

Not everyone should have gap lol. I owed 28k and they paid almost 36. Gap wouldn't have done anything, it only pays negative equity. It was a matter of getting my full value worth out of the truck.

I took the stuff off of my truck at the crash site, I was lucky about the way it landed because I was able to pull a few bolts and it dropped right off. The CVT took some damage but it should be repairable. The only aftermarket I truely lost was my window tint and roof rack but all things considered, that's not horrible.

The suspension and tires/wheels are new, I ordered them right before Christmas. Very happy with the outcome!

I hope that's not true! Especially with a truck that holds it value so well ;)

I got to take mine out today, I'm really happy with the ADS. It rides better than stock and I think it looks great with about an inch of preload. We went up some trails with about 8 Jeep's, they we're certainly better off than me. I slid a lot, had to go in 4LO and use MTS just to stay on the trail where there were some steep degree slants. We were on about 4 inches of snow and some icy spots. IIdidn't get many pics at all but overall it was a great time.

One thing I had read a lot is that I'd have to do the CMC, so I had bought a plate for it. I don't have any rubbing at all though, not even full lock or backing up.

I think a lot of people start out negative because they finance 100 percent including all the taxes and fees and maybe even an extended warranty then throw in a trade in that most get screwed by doing and you could be several thousand above value as you drive off the lot. Sad but true in a lot of cases.

I sell Subarus and luckily that's generally not the case. Most of our customers put between $5k-20k down, only finance in full if there's a 0% rate available. My Nissan customers on the other hand..they definitely need gap

Raptor light installed (sloppily). I honestly might remove them, I'm not sure if I like them as much as I thought I would

Not a fan, but everything else is looking good. Looks like those tires just packed the snow in and probably why you had traction issues. Did you air down at all or just run regular psi?

Did the cab mount chop today. First pics are driver's side, we accidentally cut too far in and had to weld a secondary plate so it turned out sloppy. Passenger side ended up a lot better.

Actually I'll upload them later my connection sucks here

It's odd, because I was almost never rubbing except if I lurched downhill at a pretty extreme angle. Now I did the CMC and I keep rubbing on something when I parallel park. I can't find what it is though and it doesn't happen each time.

Anyways, I was bored and took some pics today in our "trucks only" parking spot ;)

It's been a while since I posted an update. I haven't done much with it but I finally got my rooftop tent fixed and was able take it out camping. Super excited!
