I believe I read somewhere that you cannot camp within 1/4 mile of the creek and no fires are allowed.

Thanks for the info, looks like my spot is done for. Anyone know of any other nice places close to water?

Depends on what type of water you are looking for. Also unsure of what type of camping you are looking for...car camping? backpacking? You could head to Blue Ride Reservoir, Knoll lake, Chevelon Canyon lake, West Clear Creek, Black Canyon lake, Woods Canyon lake. Or more east towards Showlow you could hit Hannigan Meadow or perhaps the east fork or west fork of the Black River. You have many options....check em out www.hikearizona.com

Go to the book store and buy this book called "Day Trips with a Splash". I forget the author's name but his first names is Pancho. Anyways this guy spent a whole summer going to all the swimming holes in the southwest. This book is AWESOME. It gives you GPS coordinates, levels of difficulty, best time of year to go there, dog/kid friendliness, how crowded it will be, and of course directions of how to get there.

One of the best purchases i've ever made.

Waiting for my sugar mama to hook it up

You could try Haigler Creek off of the 260 and Colcord Road. Its one of the places that you have to pay to camp but it is pretty and a little less crowded than Fossil Creek.

Probably not going there anymore because of the restrictions dealing with no camping with in a 1/4 mile of water and no fires. Most likely going to check out Haigler Creek or somewhere in that area. BTW, picked that book up Cesar, good stuff!
