That isn't factory carpet. Looks like it is about 5-10% too big

I bought it from a place online and it's my first time installing. I was suspicious when it said it fit access cab and double. It was huge when I got it but I cut it down myself. I'm gonna give it some time to settle down a bit and I'll try to tamp it down some more. If it doesn't... well it was only $100 bucks and I'm selling the truck anyway. Maybe more adhesive would help.

A magic eraser works for stains on the door panel. I have had luck using them anyway. I think I used them with only a little bit of moisture and a lot of force, they disintegrated but managed to get the dirt out.

Musty smell is gone now, just smells slightly of white vinegar. I'm going to run an ozone machine in there for a few hours anyway for good measure and for peace of mind.

Gotta try to scrub or paint the door handles, new shift knob on the way, detal the engine bay, got a new cover for center console armrest, put in the new seats when they come in, take it to Toyota to get the clock spring recalls fixed, and then do a final buff and wax.

Really hoping to get done with the interior tomorrow, waiting on the seats is killing me. Freight company said the polar vortex slowed them down, which I completely understand but dang it is tough not being able to drive it. I get it now why these trucks are so popular, they are so carefree you just want to hop in and drive anywhere.

As far as buffing "skill" goes I don't really think it's so much a skill as it is being willing to put in the time. A good compound and polish job takes me a while, sometimes a day or 2 for final stages, but it's worth it. Working inch by inch and panel by panel till it's a mirror.

I won't say this truck is perfect by a long shot, there are a number of scratches that are just too deep to remove, but it's 100x better than it was when it was left to die.

My dog once tried to climb into my truck through the window. The window was closed, so she tried the other side. that window was also closed. I was afraid to over do it and did the buffing by hand. Not a fun job.

I would find it near impossible to sell such a great little truck I had put so much time and effort into. If it was 4 wheel drive, I would find it absolutely impossible to sell - but it's not. Your thread makes me want to buy one as a fair weather commuter though.
