Looks like we are starting at two different extreme issues. I bought a salvaged but only the front is tore up. Inside needed a little love but nothing like that. I got that all squared away the last two days. Now I need to figure out what parts I need to fix the front of mine as it came disassembled so I have no idea what parts came off other than the obvious. Good luck bud.

    Day 3

Did a first pass vauumming and using a carpet cleaning solution. Big improvement (don't worry I already bought new carpet to put in. Planning on finding fresher seats also because I don't want any mold spores to come back).

Cabin air filter was also changed out, I'll change it again after I get the truck sterilized.

Wow that's impressive, other than the seats and carpet, interior looks great!

As for the paint, it's a night and day difference. With a good buff, it will look good as new. Headlights look to be in great condition as well!

This will be fun to watch

I always assumed people with 14 broken down cars on their land had a basement full of people who got stranded. Do they just stop giving a shit and one day roll down the windows and never go back?

Great build to watch! The transformation is amazing already.

Quick question though, why does everyone bash 5 lugs. Literally asking because I don’t understand what’s so bad about them.

Nothing's bad about them. Just not a prefered model around here.

I see tons of then around town utilized as small work trucks.

Nice, see if he’ll throw in that Ford truck behind it, too

Ok see you already drove it. Looks like the best $500 truck I’ve seen. May have to get new seats and carpet

An empty case of Hennesy in the front seat and an empty case of Jim Beam in the back, Id wager grandma is one hell of a character. No judgement here

Man I'd kill to come accross a find like this. Nice job with the cleanup, looks like a whole new truck... can't believe it was gonna be scrapped. I feel like anyone with any knowledge of Toyota's would've had a heart attack seeing it get dropped off at the steel yard lol.

Damn, I would buy 4 of them at that price. But with that said, I can't lie and say that I am not disappointed with how that poor truck was treated. What a waste...Glad you've got the magic touch to bring it back to life.

Also, I loved seeing that little lizard hanging onto the side of the truck in the second set of pictures. I'm sure he and his family were squatting in that truck for a long time.
